Maddie Lane is a performing country singer-songwriter born in Brandon, Florida and raised in Lake Worth, Florida. Born into a music-loving family, she was exposed to music of all genres from a young age. This colorful exposure has influenced a unique, bright, lyrically-driven, laid-back sound with heartfelt stories in every song she writes. She will “sing” you anything you want to know.
Her writing paired with her “smooth, soft” vocals creates a nostalgic, genuine sound influenced by the likes of Fleetwood Mac, The Chicks, and Taylor Swift.
At 9 years old, Maddie found her voice after receiving a karaoke machine as a gift. Soon after, she began taking vocal lessons, recording in studios, and performing in musicals at her local theatre.
After graduating from Florida State University, Maddie went to Nashville for the first time and fell in love with songwriting. She bought an acoustic guitar and hasn’t put it down since. Instead of trying to learn covers, she immediately tried to write her first song. Each song she writes is inspired by her life experiences, good and bad. She is very real and honest in the hopes that she can connect with anyone who might be feeling the same way.
Maddie is currently based in Nashville, Tennessee after spending a year in Los Angeles, California performing and writing. While in LA, she also attended the UCLA Film and Television Summer Institute, where she gained knowledge about her other passion, creating video content. She hopes to utilize these skills to further connect with others.
Since moving to Nashville, she has written with up-and-coming artists and songwriters, performed original music on Broadway at Moxy Nashville Downtown, and regularly plays in local songwriter’s rounds at venues such as Belcourt Taps, Alley Taps, and Live Oak on Music Row.
