Maddie Lane is a performing singer-songwriter born and raised in Florida. Born into a music-loving family, she has enjoyed listening to a wide range of musical genres from a young age. This exposure inspired her unique, bright, lyrically driven sound and heartfelt stories in every song she writes.
Her writing paired with her “smooth, soft” vocals create a nostalgic, genuine sound influenced by the likes of Stevie Nicks, Taylor Swift, Lizzy McAlpine, Holly Humberstone and Phoebe Bridgers.
At 9 years old, Maddie found her voice after receiving a karaoke machine as a gift. Soon after, she began taking vocal lessons, recording in studios, and performing in musicals at her local theatre.
After graduating from Florida State University, Maddie went to Nashville for the first time and fell in love with songwriting. She bought her first guitar and hasn’t put it down since. Instead of trying to learn covers, she immediately tried to write her first song.
Maddie is currently based in Nashville, Tennessee after spending a year in Los Angeles, California performing and writing.
Since moving to Nashville, she has written with up-and-coming artists and songwriters, and performed at notable venues such as The High Watt and Tootsie's World Famous Orchid Lounge. She has also played in local songwriter’s rounds at venues such as Belcourt Taps, Alley Taps, and Live Oak on Music Row.
